CECT I9 – A Shake and Tilt Quad Band With Java, More Memory (4GB), and a Smaller, Sleeker, Size

March 1st, 2010

The CECT i9 is an updated iPhone clone that includes Java and has one of the most expandable memory capacities (4GB) available on the market today. This article will discuss some of the features of this phone as well as its inspiration (the SciPhone) and how it differs from the original.

There’s no question that the SciPhone i68 (on which the i9 is based) is extremely popular. I believe that both the i68 and the i9 sell so well due to several reasons.

Why These Java Shake And Tilts Are So Popular: First, both phones have the latest addition of Java which allows so many more productivity and gaming options on the phone, like MSN, PowerPoint, and Excel to name only a few. There are literally thousands of third party software downloads available which allows you to personalize the phone based on your needs.

Second, both the i68 and the i9 are small, sleek, and fast. Although many folks really like a full sized HiPhone or iClone on which to watch video, most have really liked the smaller, sleeker size that fits into a small pocket. Almost all love these phones’ speedy performance.

Third, these Java iPhone knock offs have the shake and tilt control, which allows you to advance or change media and music by only shaking the phone. You can also take the phone to wide screen by tilting it.

Finally, these phones are among the few shake and tilt replicas that are quad band which means that they work almost anywhere worldwide on almost any network.

Features / Upgrades On The i9: So, when CECT upgraded the i68 in the form of the i9, the new phone was immediately embraced as much as the old one still is. With the i9, the manufacturer has upgraded the digital camera (the i9 has a 2.0 mega pixel model with advanced editing features) and expanded the memory capacity to 4GB.

The i9 has the touch menu flow, a 3.2 inch finger touch, high definition screen, and dual sim standby. Like all of the clones, it comes unlocked so that you can use whichever carrier you wish.

As you might expect, CECT has jammed just about every feature imaginable into one little phone, like: web browsing and emails (MMS, GPRS, WAP 2.0); Bluetooth; MP3/ MP4; FM radio (with the ability to record); web cam; and an e-book reader.

This phone also has CECT’s loud and sharp trademark speakers, and is very thin, small and lightweight at only 95 grams. In terms of appearance, the i9 looks extremely similar to the SciPhone and it maintains the fast, zippy performance (i9’s with 4GB are obviously going to be among the fastest iPhone clones on the market today).

Price wise, it’s again similar to the i68, running in the mid range, with around $150 currently coming in as the base price. Frankly, I’m surprised that it is starting out this low as a clone’s price usually lowers pretty soon after release. No, the i9 doesn’t have WiFi like the T32 (it would be nice if it did), but it has just about everything else.

CECT N95 Review – This Dual Sim Phone Has Many Innovative Features For A Low Price

February 4th, 2010

The CECT N95 was eagerly awaited. That’s because the Chinese manufacturer did such a phenomenal job copying and improving upon the iPhone with the P168, that tech geeks like me were holding our collective breath to see what the company could do with Nokia’s best selling N95.

Generally, the replica N95 was worth the wait. The knock off is a great looking phone, and is strikingly similar to the original. With its sleek lines and double slider design, this is one phone you’ll really be proud of carrying.

But, looks only take you so far. The features on the Nokia are what really drew the masses to it. With its touch screen, it’s TV out feature, a 5.0 mp camera, WiFi and GPS, as well as the ability to surf the web, email/ text and its whopping 8GB of memory, the original phone has everything a consumer could possibly want.

However, this all comes with a high price tag. As of this writing, the cost is about $650. This is a deal breaker for some. Many of my friends agree that any phone that cost over $300 is just too much, especially since the technology that seems so innovative today will be old news tomorrow.
Obviously, the clone is tons cheaper, usually running under $200. But, how does it stack up to the original?

Pretty favorably. The knock off does tons of standard features, including: dual sim slots; Bluetooth 2.0, full MP3 and MP4 capabilities; a 2.0 mega pixel camera with video cam; the ability to surf the web, email, and text, to name only a few.

What it lacks though is the GPS and the WiFi. It also has 2GB of memory as opposed to the Nokia’s 8GB. However, it does offer the ability to have two phone numbers or plans on one phone. Dual sim is a very popular draw of the clones. It is a very useful feature for people who previously carried around two cell phones – one for business and one for family and friends.

Whether this phone appeals to you depends greatly on if you need to have all of the features. If GPS and WiFi are vital, then this phone may not cut it. But, if you don’t need them, the CECT N95 is a very high performing, stylish, modern phone with all of the bells and whistles, a great camera, phenomenal speakers and a sufficient 2GB of memory for a very low price.

T32 Tri Band Phone With WiFi – Probably the Smartest IPhone Clone in the CECT Line Up

December 26th, 2009

For a long time, the iPhone and other clones were called “smart phones” simply because they loaded everything but the kitchen sink into these tiny imports. Even the early knock offs included web browsing, texting, emailing, MP3 / MP4, Bluetooth, digital camera / web cam, and FM radio as well as e-book readers on many models.

However, even being fully loaded, few of these clones offered true smart phone features like Windows Mobile and WiFi. Finally, CECT has decided to see if consumers will be willing to pay a bit more for these extras with the release of the T32. (So far, the answer seems to be yes.) This article will discuss some of the more popular features of this new iPhone knock off.

I am not sure why the wait for this one was so long. I suppose the manufacturers were concerned about getting the price of these knock offs too high by adding too many features that not every one would want or could use, but that doesn’t seem to be the case.

I am one who certainly thinks the 32 is worth the money and not overloaded. With the new trinity of windows mobile 6.0, built in WiFi, and GPS, the T32 is approaching the category of the productivity smart phones that allow you to read, draft, edit, and resend information away from your desk. This mobile truly allows you to do business anywhere at anytime, although it’s also popular with students. In addition to these extras, the 32 supports Java, which opens up a bunch of gaming and third party software possibilities.

This phone is called by a few different names like Daxian X999, Daxian T32, etc. It supports WAP browsing, as well as MMS and SMS messaging. It is updated with the A2DP version of Bluetooth and also includes outlook express. This Daxian 32 mobile has talk time of up to 300 minutes and a standby time of up to 150 hours. It can hold up to 8GB of memory (via T flash).

The T32 is tri band. It supports GSM networks on 900, 1800, and 1900MHz, which covers most carriers. It is typically not dual sim, but it’s probably the most expensive clone on the market right now, averaging in the high $200 to low $300 range, depending upon the memory that is included in it.

However, most believe that it is also the most complete and fully loaded iPhone clone to date, and considering you can chose your own carrier, many consumers still find it fairly priced as evidenced by its brisk sales.
